Get your treatments at affordable prices in Malmö by professional dentists
Our main goal at TandCity is to give high quality dental care at an affordable price. With a top modern equipment, highly trained and experienced staff and most distinguished dental laboratory in Sweden, we always provide high class standard. We know that a satisfied patient will come back!
We are of course associated with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. This means that you may receive financial support from the age of 22 through the General Dental Care Benefit (ATB) and Dental Care Compensation.
Focusing on each individual patient, we strive at the best possible solution for every individual, from a treatment and financial point of view.
Your cost at the dentist depend on such factors as your age and the required preparatory controls and treatments decided upon.
At TandCity we will give you a cost estimate before the treatment is started.
Children and young people
All dental care is free for children and young people until the year they turn 22. It includes almost all check-ups and dental care, irrespective of having visited the general dental care or a private dentist.
Governmental Dental Care Benefit (Tandvårdsstödet)
The year you turn 23 you will have to start pay for the dental care, but you will get governmental financial help via a:
- general dental care grant
- a specific dental care grant, and
- a dental care allowance for high protection
The general dental care grant (ATB) varies according to your age.
You will not receive any grants or money in advance, but you will not have to cover the cost yourself as it is deducted when you pay for your dental care. The dentist or dental hygienist will then receive a reimbursement from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. The whole amount of the benefit needs to be used at one occasion, and the patient decides if and when it shall be used, to cover part of the cost.
The general dental care benefit is credited to your benefit account with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency on the 1st of July each year. You may refrain from using it one year to use it another year, together with the new yearly benefit or at different occasions.
However, you cannot save more than two benefits. After that the first benefit will be replaced by a new one.
- From the year 23-29 the benefit is 600 kr/year.
- From 30-64 the benefit is 300 kr/year.
- From 65 and up the benefit is 600 kr/year.
There is also a specific dental care grant (STB) of 600 kr per half year. This is for people with diseases or functional disorders affecting teeth and mouth in a negative way. To be verified by a doctor.
The third part of the governmental dental care benefit is called Dental Care allowance for high cost protection. It means that the patient will get financial support at more extensive treatments. The patient does not have to pay the whole cost of the treatment. The dentist or dental hygienist will get reimbursed through the Swedish Social Insurance Agency directly.
The benefit will be effective when the total cost (calculated on the reference price) will exceed 3000 kr during a 12 months period. You will receive a deduction of the costs above 3000 kr, the sum of the deduction being dependent on the total of the costs.
- You will not receive any deduction for dental care costs with a reference price of up to 3000 kr. Then you pay the whole amount yourself.
- On dental care costs with a reference price between 3000 and 15000 kr you will receive a 50 % deduction.
- On dental care costs with a reference price above 15000 kr you will receive 85 % in deduction.
Aesthetic dental care, such as teeth whitening, is not part of the general dental care benefit, and will not be substituted.
Before you start the dental care treatment at TandCity you shall be given a cost estimate by either the dentist or the dental hygienist to understand the full cost for your individual treatment. Below you will find the prices for a selection of our most common dental care treatments.
