These medicines, usually paracetamol (Panodil\u00ae, Alvedon\u00ae) and NSAIDs (ibuprofen, diclofenac) are given for preventive purposes against toothache.<\/p>\n<p>Before the anaesthetic, it is important that you try to empty your bladder just before the procedure, as it is significantly more difficult afterwards, mainly due to fatigue.<br \/>\nFeel free to use our toilet upon arrival!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dental care under anesthesia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After you have taken a seat in the dentist&#039;s chair, the anesthesia staff will put in a drip via a venous cannula that you can place on the back of your hand\/arm crease. A venous cannula is a thin plastic tube that leads into the blood vessel and it is through this that you will receive the anesthetic drugs. The anesthesia can therefore be anything from light sedation where you get a relaxing &amp; anxiety-relieving effect during the procedure to deeper anesthesia where you sleep heavily.\u00a0<strong><em>Feel free to tell the anesthetic staff about your thoughts &amp; needs<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>After the procedure, you will remain lying down in the dentist&#039;s chair under observation until you are more awake and alert. The most common side effect after anesthesia is nausea, something we do our utmost for you to avoid. Afterwards, you want to take a seat in the waiting room until the anesthesiologist discharges you and you can return home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>After the visit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We at TandCity aim for your intervention to be as painless as possible. If you use false nails, the same applies. This is because our monitoring equipment cannot measure with nail polish\/loose nails.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid contact lenses and bring glasses - this is because the ability to blink during anesthesia is affected and the lenses\/eyes can dry out.<\/li>\n<li>It is forbidden to drive a car or other vehicle 24 hours after the procedure, as our anesthetic drugs are classified as narcotics and some residual effect can be seen.
